Bettermode is a community platform built for SaaS companies and brands that want a branded home for their users outside of Slack or Discord. You build the community out of "spaces" (Q&A, discussion, events, polls, wikis) and control the layout, domain, and design yourself rather than working inside a fixed template.
It used to be called Tribe. Since the rebrand it has pushed further into the SaaS support and customer community market, adding things like federated search, SSO, and audit logs aimed at that buyer rather than at solo creators.
In March 2026, Bettermode dropped its free plan entirely. Every community now starts on a paid tier, priced by member count and number of admin/moderator seats ("collaborators") rather than by every member.
