Coupa is a cloud-based spend management platform for large and mid-market companies. It controls purchasing, manages suppliers and contracts, automates invoice-to-pay, tracks expenses, and plans supply chains, all in one system. It started as e-procurement software and has grown into source-to-pay, treasury, and supply chain design, each sold as a separate module customers license on their own.
Thoma Bravo took Coupa private in 2023 after it traded publicly. Since then, Coupa has pushed hard into agentic AI, most recently with Coupa Compose, a set of tools for building and running AI agents inside procurement and finance workflows.
There is no self-serve signup and no published pricing. Every deployment is a custom enterprise contract, usually implemented with a systems integrator or Coupa's own services team. Price scales with the modules, user count, and transaction volume you need.
