Veriff verifies a person's identity by checking a government ID and matching it to a live selfie or short video, then returns a pass/fail decision your signup flow can act on. The Essential plan is fully automated: an AI model makes the call with no human in the loop. Plus and Premium add trained verification specialists who review sessions the AI flags as uncertain, which is the main lever for cutting false rejections in KYC and AML workflows.
Pricing is per completed verification session on top of a monthly plan minimum, so your bill scales with signups. Extra data fields, longer retention, and sanctions/PEP screening are separate add-ons rather than bundled into higher tiers, which makes a real compliance-ready setup cost more than the headline per-session price suggests.
Self-serve plans are capped at 10,000 sessions a month and 15 a minute. Past that, or past 5,000 sessions/month if you want a negotiated rate, you're on Enterprise with custom pricing.
Who it's for
- ✓ Fintech, crypto, and marketplace teams that need pass/fail KYC decisions with an audit trail and are under roughly 10,000 verifications a month
- ✓ Compliance leads who want human specialist review as a backstop on flagged cases without building that review process themselves
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ High-volume consumer apps doing more than 10,000 verifications a month on self-serve pricing (forces a move to Enterprise)
- ✗ Teams that want AML/sanctions screening included by default rather than as a per-session add-on
Pros
- + Human specialist review on Plus and Premium catches edge cases pure-AI vendors miss, without you staffing a review team
- + No setup fee and a 15-day, 50-session free trial with no credit card, so engineering can test the real flow before committing
- + You're billed for completed sessions only, not failed retries, which matters for conversion-sensitive signup flows
Cons
- – Real compliance coverage costs more than the sticker price: sanctions/PEP screening, extra data fields, and longer retention are all separate add-ons
- – Self-serve plans hard-cap at 10,000 sessions/month and 15/minute, so growing volume forces a jump to custom Enterprise pricing
- – Per-session pricing is opaque to model until you have real signup volume, since your effective rate depends on how many sessions escalate to human review
Veriff pricing
You pay for what you consume rather than a per-seat fee, so cost scales with usage.

Veriff FAQ
Does Veriff have a free plan?+
No. There's a 15-day free trial capped at 50 live verification sessions with no credit card required, but no free-forever tier. Every paid plan carries a monthly minimum on top of the per-session rate.
How much does Veriff cost per verification?+
Self-serve pricing starts at $0.80/session on Essential ($49/month minimum), $1.39/session on Plus ($99/month minimum), and $1.89/session on Premium ($209/month minimum). Add-ons like sanctions screening or extra data retention cost more on top.
Is there a volume limit on Veriff's plans?+
Self-serve plans cap at 15 sessions per minute and 10,000 sessions per month. Going past that, or wanting negotiated per-session rates, requires the custom Enterprise plan, which needs at least 5,000 verifications a month.
Does Veriff include AML/sanctions screening?+
Not by default. PEP and sanctions screening is a $0.64 per-session add-on, and ongoing monitoring is an extra $0.09 per session, on any plan.
