Kajabi is a platform for building and selling online courses, coaching programs, communities, and memberships without stitching together separate tools for hosting, email, checkout, and a website. You get a course builder, an email and automation system, landing pages, a paid community feature, and Kajabi's own checkout and payment processing in one subscription.
It is built for solo creators and small teams who want one login and one bill instead of paying separately for a course host, an email tool, and a page builder. The tradeoff is that you pay a flat monthly fee regardless of how much revenue you're making, and Kajabi just went through its first major price increase in nearly a decade.

Who it's for
- ✓ Creators who want courses, email marketing, a website, and a paid community under one login
- ✓ Coaches and course sellers who prefer a flat monthly fee over a percentage of sales
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ Solopreneurs just testing an idea who need a genuinely free plan to start
- ✗ Anyone with a small list who doesn't want to pay $179/month before making a sale
Pros
- + One subscription covers courses, email marketing, landing pages, checkout, and community, so you don't need separate tools
- + Kajabi Payments processing fees drop as you move up tiers, unlike platforms that take a flat cut of every sale
- + Cofounder AI assistant helps draft course outlines, emails, and marketing copy from inside the product
- + Cohort Courses turn a course into a shared, structured experience with built-in community, rather than a self-paced library of videos
Cons
- – No free forever plan, and the cheapest plan starts at $179/month before you've made a sale
- – January 2026 price hike raised every tier 20-25% and cut the Basic plan's contact limit from 10,000 to 2,500, with no grandfathering for existing customers
- – A branded mobile app and API access are locked behind the priciest Pro plan; Growth doesn't get them either
- – Support quality has slipped as Kajabi has grown, with reviewers describing long AI-chatbot exchanges that don't resolve billing or cancellation issues

Kajabi Payments processing fees fall as you move up tiers, from 2.9%+$0.30 on Basic to 2.8%+$0.30 on Growth to 2.7%+$0.30 on Pro; using an outside payment processor costs more per tier too, from 2% on Basic to 1% on Growth to 0.5% on Pro. Kajabi FAQ
Does Kajabi have a free plan?+
No. Kajabi dropped its old free trial-only model and now only offers a 30-day free trial, not a free forever tier. The cheapest paid plan, Basic, starts at $179/month.
Why did Kajabi's prices go up in 2026?+
Kajabi raised prices on every plan by roughly 20-25% starting January 13, 2026, its first broad increase in about a decade. It also cut the Basic plan's contact limit from 10,000 to 2,500 and retired the old Kickstarter plan. Kajabi says the increase funds continued investment in the product; existing customers got no grandfathered pricing.
Does Kajabi take a cut of my sales?+
Kajabi doesn't take a revenue share on top of your subscription. You pay Kajabi Payments processing fees instead, which start at 2.9%+$0.30 on Basic and fall to 2.7%+$0.30 on Pro. Using an outside payment processor costs more, from 2% down to 0.5% depending on your plan.
