Podia is a platform for selling courses, digital downloads, coaching, and memberships, built around a community feed that creators and their members share. You upload your content, set a price, and Podia handles checkout, hosting, and delivery.
In June 2026 Podia rebuilt the product so community sits at the center rather than as an add-on. Courses, coaching, events, chat, and email all live inside the same member-facing feed. Podia also dropped its old free-forever plan in 2024, so every account now starts on a 30-day trial and moves to a paid plan.

Who it's for
- ✓ Solo creators and coaches who want courses, community, and email in one tool instead of stitching several apps together
- ✓ Anyone planning to run live or in-person events alongside their course, since Events is now built in
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ Creators who want a permanent free plan to test the platform before paying, since Podia no longer offers one
- ✗ Sellers who need deep course-building features like drip scheduling or certificates beyond the basics
Pros
- + Shaker and Earthquaker plans charge no Podia transaction fee, so you keep more of each sale
- + Community, courses, coaching, and events all run from one member feed instead of separate tools
- + 30-day trial gives real time to test the platform with no card required
Cons
- – The cheapest Mover plan still charges a 5% transaction fee on every sale on top of payment processor fees
- – No free-forever plan anymore, so you can't run a small store at no monthly cost
- – Some users report Podia can flag and freeze an account for manual review with no advance notice, blocking paying customers from their content
