Tidio is a live chat and help desk widget that also sells an AI agent called Lyro on top. The free and lower paid plans give you chat, a shared inbox, basic bot flows, and ticketing across email and social. Lyro is Tidio's separate AI layer that answers customer questions from your help center content and hands off to a human when it can't resolve something.
The pricing is built around "billable conversations", meaning threads a human agent touches, so a team that gets AI to resolve most tickets pays less for the base plan but pays extra for Lyro itself. Plans jump from Growth, which scales from $59/month up to $349/month at its 2,000-conversation cap, straight to Plus starting at $749/month, with nothing priced in between.

Who it's for
- ✓ Small ecommerce or SaaS support teams that want live chat, a shared inbox, and a basic AI bot without stitching together separate tools
- ✓ Teams under about 2,000 conversations a month who don't need enterprise admin controls
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ Teams expecting AI resolution included in the advertised plan price, since Lyro is billed as a separate add-on below the Plus tier
- ✗ Growing teams that will outrun the Growth plan's conversation caps but aren't ready for the $749/month Plus jump
Pros
- + Free plan covers 10 seats and 50 billable conversations, which is workable for a small team just trying chat
- + Lyro AI reads your help center and existing content without a lot of setup
- + One tool covers live chat, a shared inbox, and basic ticketing, so support teams don't need a separate help desk for simple cases
Cons
- – Lyro and Flows are billed separately from the base plan on Free, Starter, and Growth, so the advertised plan price understates what you'll actually pay for AI
- – No middle tier between Growth (which tops out at $349/month for 2,000 conversations) and Plus (from $749/month), which is a hard jump for a team that outgrows Growth's conversation limits
- – Tidio restructured its pricing in December 2024, and reviewers on Trustpilot and Capterra documented existing customers' bills doubling in a single cycle with little or no advance notice
Tidio pricing

Starter is $29/month billed monthly. Growth starts at $59/month for 250 conversations and scales with volume up to $349/month at its 2,000-conversation cap, all billed monthly. Paying annually (2 months free) brings the entry prices to about $24.17 and $49.17 per month respectively. "Billable conversation" is Tidio's own term for any live chat, ticket, email, or social message with a reply from a human agent; conversations fully resolved by Lyro or Flows don't count. Lyro AI and Flows are separate add-ons on Free, Starter, and Growth: Lyro starts at $39/month billed monthly ($32.50/month billed annually) for 50 conversations and scales to $700/month for 1,000 conversations; Flows starts at $29/month billed monthly ($24.17/month billed annually) for 2,000 visitors reached. Both are bundled into the Plus and Premium price instead of billed separately. Plus starts at $749/month for a custom conversation volume and seat count; Premium is quote-only.

Tidio FAQ
Is Tidio free?+
Yes. The Free plan covers up to 10 seats and 50 billable conversations a month with live chat, basic bot flows, and ticketing. It doesn't include Lyro AI beyond a small trial allotment.
Does the Tidio price include the Lyro AI agent?+
Not on Free, Starter, or Growth. Lyro is a separate add-on starting at $39/month billed monthly (or $32.50/month billed annually) for 50 conversations on those plans. It's only bundled into the plan price at the Plus and Premium tiers.
What counts as a billable conversation?+
Any live chat, ticket, email, or social message that includes a reply from a human agent. Conversations fully handled by Lyro or a bot flow, with no human reply, don't count toward the limit.
What happens after the free trial?+
Tidio gives a 7-day trial with full access to paid features and no credit card required. If you don't upgrade, the account drops back to the Free plan automatically.
