Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) is a marketing and sales platform built around email, SMS, WhatsApp, and a CRM, all under one login. Instead of charging by how many contacts you store, it charges by how many emails you send each month, so a large list with light sending can cost less than it would on a per-contact tool.
The free plan is a genuinely usable starting point: you can build your contact list and send up to 300 emails a day at no cost. Paid plans remove the daily cap and add automation, A/B testing, and reporting, and the CRM and sales tools are sold as separate add-ons rather than bundled by default.

Who it's for
- ✓ Small businesses and solo marketers who want email, SMS, and basic CRM without paying per contact
- ✓ Teams with large contact lists but modest sending volume, where per-contact pricing from other tools gets expensive
- ✓ Companies that also want transactional email and SMS in the same account as marketing campaigns
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ Ecommerce brands that want deep, out-of-the-box behavioral segmentation and revenue attribution like Klaviyo offers
- ✗ Sales teams that need a full CRM without buying a separate Sales Essentials or Sales Advanced add-on
Pros
- + Pricing is based on email volume, not contact count, so large lists with low send frequency stay cheap
- + Free plan includes SMS, WhatsApp, and CRM access, not just email
- + Transactional email (API, SMTP, webhooks) is included on every plan, even the free one
- + Annual billing cuts the price by roughly 10% across all paid plans
Cons
- – The free and Starter plans still show the Brevo logo unless you pay extra to remove it
- – CRM and sales pipeline features are separate paid add-ons (Sales Essentials, Sales Advanced), not included in the core plans
- – Professional plan jumps to $499/month, a big step up from Standard's $18/month
- – High-volume senders (over 10 million emails/month) have to contact sales for custom pricing

What you pay for
Brevo charges by how many emails you send each month, not by how many contacts you store or how many seats you use. The Free plan covers a real amount of use (300 emails a day) with no credit card, and Starter, Standard, and Professional prices are all published on the pricing page. Only Enterprise pricing is quote-only, for accounts that need custom volume or dedicated infrastructure.
At about $9/month to start, it is one of the cheaper options in Email Marketing & Automation.
| Plan | Price | Highlights |

| Starter | $9/mo | No daily sending limit · Sending volume starts around 5,000 emails per month and scales with what you buy · Email support · Option to remove the Brevo logo for an extra fee |

| Professional | $499/mo | Sending volume from 150,000 up to 10 million emails per month · Multi-user access · Advanced ecommerce features · AI send time optimization · Advanced email reporting |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited or custom email volume · Dedicated IP · Custom objects · Deliverability specialist and CSM support · Tailored onboarding |
Brevo prices by email sending volume, not by contact list size or seats. Monthly prices above are billed monthly; paying annually cuts the price by roughly 10%: Starter is $96.96/year ($8.08/month), Standard is $194.04/year ($16.17/month), Professional is $5,388.96/year (about $449/month). Sales CRM add-ons (Sales Essentials and Sales Advanced) and extras like removing the Brevo logo are priced separately. Prices confirmed on the vendor's pricing page for USD.

Brevo FAQ
Is Brevo free to use?+
Yes. The Free plan lets you store contacts and send up to 300 emails a day, with access to SMS, WhatsApp, and basic CRM features. It carries the Brevo logo on your emails.
Does Brevo charge based on the number of contacts I have?+
No. Brevo prices its plans by how many emails you send per month, not by the size of your contact list, which is different from tools like Mailchimp or Klaviyo.
Can I send transactional emails on a Brevo plan?+
Yes. Every Brevo plan, including the free one, includes transactional email through a REST API, SMTP, and outbound webhooks with unlimited log retention.
Is there a paid trial before I commit to a plan?+
Brevo doesn't run a time-limited trial. Every account starts on the Free plan, which you can use indefinitely before upgrading once you need higher sending limits or more features.
