What is Eqvista?

Eqvista is a cap table and equity management platform that also sells 409A valuations directly, done by its own NACVA-certified analysts rather than an outside firm. You manage stakeholders, vesting, and option grants in the same account where you order and renew your valuation, and the valuation report ties back into the cap table instead of living as a separate PDF.

The company also pushes a real-time valuation product and is building out a secondary marketplace for private shares, on top of the core cap table and 409A business most buyers come for.

Pricing is per-stakeholder for the cap table software and tiered by funding stage for the 409A valuation, so what you pay depends on both how many people are on the cap table and where the company is in its life.

Who it's for

  • Early-stage founders who want cap table software and their 409A valuation from the same vendor instead of coordinating two
  • Companies under 50 stakeholders that want a low, predictable per-seat price on the cap table itself
  • Teams that need unlimited 409A refreshes in a year, since the bundle covers updates and renewals rather than charging per report

Who should look elsewhere

  • Companies past 50 stakeholders or Series B, where Eqvista pushes you to custom pricing instead of a published rate
  • Teams that want phone or live chat support, since Eqvista's support is primarily email
  • Companies with very large or complex cap tables, where some users report the interface slowing down on big data sets

Pros

  • + Freemium tier covers real cap table and ESOP management under 20 stakeholders with no credit card, not just a demo
  • + 409A valuation is done in-house and bundled with the cap table, so you're not paying a separate valuation firm on top of separate cap table software
  • + 409A bundle includes unlimited updates and renewals for the year instead of billing per refresh
  • + Support is described by reviewers as fast and responsive even though it's email-only

Cons

  • 409A pricing steps up by funding stage ($990 to $2,590) rather than a single flat rate, so the number you see in ads isn't necessarily yours
  • Support has no live chat or phone option, only email
  • Pricing goes custom once you pass 50 stakeholders or reach Series B, so larger companies lose the published rate
  • At least one reviewer reported being billed for a month after cancelling, with no refund for the unused period

Premium Cap Table is $2 per stakeholder per month, billed monthly, and Eqvista says pricing goes custom above 50 stakeholders. The 409A bundle is billed annually and the price step depends on your funding stage, not a fixed seat count. Add-ons are quoted separately: expedited processing from $490, QSBS attestation from $1,000, ASC 718 from $500. None of the paid tiers require a sales call for the listed starting prices, but the higher 409A tiers and anything above 50 stakeholders are negotiated.

Is Eqvista still actively developed?

Last significant update: May 2026. Eqvista added a Historical Cap Table Report that lets you view your cap table as it stood on any past date, plus a cleaner active/inactive system for grants and shareholders so zero-share grants stop cluttering reports.
