What is ServiceTitan?

ServiceTitan is a business management platform for home and commercial service companies like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and roofing contractors. It runs your scheduling and dispatch board, call booking, quoting, invoicing, payroll, and reporting from one system, and gives your techs a mobile app for job details, pricebook items, and payment collection in the field.

It was built for larger operations first. Most of what you read about it, good and bad, comes from companies running a dozen trucks or more, not two-person shops.

Core scheduling, dispatch, and invoicing come in the base plan. Marketing, advanced fleet tracking, phone call intelligence, and other add-ons are sold separately as 'Pro' modules, so your real monthly bill is usually higher than the base plan price alone.

Who it's for

  • Multi-crew HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or roofing companies with 10+ techs that need one system for dispatch, invoicing, payroll, and reporting
  • Owners who want deep reporting on technician performance, call booking rates, and job profitability and are willing to pay for it

Who should look elsewhere

  • Solo operators or 1-3 person shops, where the per-technician cost and implementation fee outweigh what you'd use
  • Businesses that want to see a price before talking to a salesperson

Pros

  • + Covers the full job lifecycle in one place: booking, dispatch, quoting, invoicing, payroll, and reporting
  • + Deep reporting lets owners see technician-level performance, close rates, and job profitability
  • + Mobile app gives techs pricebook, job history, and payment collection on-site
  • + Regular release cycle (named seasonal releases like Winter 2026) keeps adding features such as AI financial reports and project baselines

Cons

  • No published pricing. You have to talk to sales to get a number, and third-party reports put base plans anywhere from about $245 to $500 per technician per month
  • Implementation fees are separate and reported to range from about $5,000 to $50,000 or more depending on company size, with onboarding reported to take months
  • Core-feeling features like marketing attribution, advanced fleet tracking, and phone intelligence are sold as separate paid add-ons on top of the base plan
  • Standard contract term is 12 months, and multiple users report annual renewal increases in the 15-20% range plus difficulty exporting data or cancelling at term end
