Ubersuggest is Neil Patel's SEO tool, built from a small Google Suggest scraper he bought in 2017 into a full suite: keyword research, site audits, rank tracking, backlink data, and an AI writer. It's aimed at solo marketers, small business owners, and agencies who want one cheap tool instead of paying enterprise SEO prices.
The tradeoff for the low price is depth. Keyword volumes, backlink counts, and traffic estimates are modeled, and Ubersuggest itself says it relies on the same kind of estimation providers other SEO tools use rather than always crawling live. Daily report caps mean you can run out of lookups mid-session on the cheaper plans. In 2025 it added AI Search Optimization tracking, which watches how a brand gets cited in AI chat answers alongside classic Google rankings.
Who it's for
- ✓ Solo marketers, bloggers, and small business owners who want core SEO tools without an enterprise price tag
- ✓ Agencies running many small client sites where a per-project cap of 7-15 domains covers the account
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ Teams that need accurate, near-real-time backlink and traffic data for competitive analysis
- ✗ Anyone who wants daily rank tracking, since every plan updates weekly, not daily
Pros
- + Publishes real prices on its site instead of hiding pricing behind a sales call
- + Cheapest paid entry point of the major SEO suites, at $29/month
- + One account covers keyword research, site audit, rank tracking, and backlinks instead of separate tools
- + Genuine free account with no credit card, not just a time-limited trial
Cons
- – Daily report caps (150 on the entry plan) run out fast if you're doing heavy keyword research in one sitting
- – Backlink and traffic numbers are modeled estimates; Ubersuggest's own FAQ says it uses multiple data providers to produce estimations rather than always crawling live
- – Rank tracking updates weekly on every plan, not daily, and the free plan's tracking is desktop-only
- – Some reviewers report being charged for months after they believed they had cancelled; Ubersuggest's refund policy only covers cancelling within the 7-day trial before the first charge, not after

What you pay for
You pay a flat monthly fee per account, not per seat, and the fee mostly buys you a bigger daily report cap plus more projects and tracked keywords. Ubersuggest publishes its prices openly on the pricing page, unlike most SEO suites its size. There's a real free account with tight daily limits, and a 7-day trial if you want to test a paid tier before committing. Add-ons let you buy more of a single limit (like tracked keywords) without upgrading the whole plan.
At about $29/month to start, it is one of the cheaper options in SEO Tools.
| Plan | Price | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Free account | Free | Up to 3 searches or reports a day · Track up to 25 keywords per project, weekly desktop-only updates · Up to 3 keyword lists, 30 keywords each |
| Individual | $29/mo | 150 reports a day · 1 project/domain · 125 tracked keywords · Site audit up to 1,000 pages a week |
| Business | $49/mo | 300 reports a day · 7 projects/domains · 150 tracked keywords · Site audit up to 5,000 pages a week |
| Enterprise | $99/mo | 900 reports a day · 15 projects/domains · 300 tracked keywords · Site audit up to 10,000 pages a week |
Prices are per account, billed monthly, confirmed live on the pricing page: Individual $29/mo, Business $49/mo, Enterprise $99/mo. Yearly billing and a one-time lifetime-payment option are also offered per tier. At the time of this check, yearly billing carried a limited-time 'SEO Week' promotion (5 months free, advertised to end July 27, 2026), and lifetime prices were $290 / $490 / $990 for Individual/Business/Enterprise, sold as a recurring promotion rather than a standing price. Add-ons (extra searches, domains, tracked keywords, competitor domains, users, or AI prompts) are $5/month each. Ubersuggest's refund policy: subscriptions are non-refundable once a billing cycle starts, the only refund window is cancelling within the 7-day trial before the first charge, and lifetime purchases are final.
