What is Apollo?

Apollo is a sales intelligence and engagement platform built around a database of over 230 million contacts. Teams use it to find leads, enrich contact and company data, and run outreach sequences across email and phone from the same tool. Sequences can also include LinkedIn steps, but since Apollo removed automated LinkedIn sending in January 2026, those steps are manual: you complete the connection request, message, or profile view by hand in LinkedIn and mark it done back in Apollo.

Pricing runs on seats plus a credit system on top. Every plan grants a set number of credits per seat per year, and actions like unlocking a verified email or a phone number each cost credits. Apollo has been pushing further into AI over the past year, adding an in-app AI research assistant, agentic workflows, an MCP server, and integrations with tools like Perplexity and Codex so outbound and enrichment work can happen outside the Apollo UI itself.

Who it's for

  • Teams that want prospecting data, enrichment, and outreach sequencing in one subscription instead of stitching together a data provider and a separate sender
  • Sales teams that need an in-app dialer alongside email and LinkedIn outreach
  • Companies already budgeting for per-seat SaaS pricing rather than pay-as-you-go data costs

Who should look elsewhere

  • Teams whose outreach volume will regularly blow through their credit allotment, since overages add real cost on top of the seat price
  • Small teams that only need cold email and don't want to pay for a database and dialer they won't use
  • Buyers who want the international dialer or website visitor identification included in the base price rather than as a paid add-on

Pros

  • + Free plan gives full access to the contact database, not just a limited sample
  • + Combines data, enrichment, sequences, and a dialer in one product instead of three separate subscriptions
  • + Credits are granted upfront for the year on annual plans rather than trickled out monthly

Cons

  • Credit system means the advertised seat price understates real cost for active users who unlock a lot of emails and phone numbers
  • Organization plan has a 3-seat minimum, pushing its real entry cost to at least $357/month even at the lowest advertised per-seat rate
  • International dialer and website visitor tracking are separate paid add-ons, priced per team rather than included in any plan

What you pay for

Apollo charges per seat per month, and that fee buys database access plus a yearly credit allowance for unlocking emails and phone numbers. The cheapest paid tier, Basic, starts at $49/seat/month billed annually and includes 30,000 credits per seat a year, unlimited sequences, and CRM integrations. There's also a free plan with 900 credits a year, plus a one-time 14-day trial on Basic or Professional. All prices are published on Apollo's pricing page, no quote needed.

At about $49/month to start, it is one of the cheaper options in Sales Intelligence & Data.

Professional$79/seat/moBilled annually (monthly billing is available at a higher per-seat rate) · 48,000 credits per seat per year · A/Z testing, 6 meeting event types, automated workflows · US dialer with call recording, 4,000 minutes

Prices shown are per seat per month, billed annually, as published on Apollo's pricing page. The page also offers a monthly-billing toggle and states that annual billing saves 24% versus paying monthly, but it does not display the monthly-billed dollar figures without live interaction, so we omit those exact numbers here rather than guess. Organization requires a minimum of 3 seats, so its real entry cost is at least $357/month even at the lowest advertised per-seat rate. On top of the subscription, every plan runs on a credit system: accessing a contact's email uses 1 credit and accessing a phone number uses 8 credits, so active users can burn through their annual allotment faster than the sticker price suggests. Inbound (website visitor ID) and Advanced Dialer (including international calling) are separate add-ons priced per team, not per seat, at $119/team/month billed annually; Apollo labels this introductory pricing that may change.
