Copper is a CRM built to sit inside Gmail and the rest of Google Workspace rather than as a separate app you have to switch to. It pulls contacts, email threads, and calendar activity straight from your inbox and auto-fills records, which is the whole pitch: less manual data entry for teams that already run on Google.
It was originally named ProsperWorks before rebranding to Copper. The product covers the basics well, contacts, pipelines, and task automation, but Sales Opportunities, the deal record with a revenue rollup, is gated behind the Professional tier, not included in the entry Basic plan.

Who it's for
- ✓ Small teams already living in Gmail and Google Calendar who want a CRM that feels native to that workflow
- ✓ Service businesses and agencies that want simple pipeline tracking without heavy setup
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ Teams that need deal records and revenue tracking on the cheapest plan, since Sales Opportunities requires upgrading to Professional
- ✗ Teams that want deep native reporting without exporting to Looker Studio or Google Sheets
Pros
- + Auto-logs email and calendar activity so reps spend less time on data entry
- + Clean, simple interface that's fast to learn for non-technical sales teams
- + Pricing is published up front, no sales call required to see what it costs
Cons
- – Basic plan includes basic pipelines but not Sales Opportunities, the deal record with a revenue rollup, so most teams end up needing Professional
- – Native reporting has real gaps (reviewers note not every field can be included in a report); Copper ships official Looker Studio and Google Sheets export connectors as the standard workaround for deeper analysis
- – No free-forever plan, only a 14-day trial
- – Multiple reviews describe a rigid cancellation and auto-renewal process, with support declining refunds on inactive seats
Copper pricing
What you pay for
Copper's pricing is public and simple: three seat-based tiers, no quote-only step. You pay per user per month, and the price jumps a lot between tiers because Sales Opportunities, the deal record with a revenue rollup, is locked to Professional and above; Basic only includes basic customizable pipelines. Annual billing saves roughly 20% over paying monthly. There is no free-forever plan, only a 14-day trial.
At about $23/month to start, it sits mid-pack on price in CRM & Marketing.
| Plan | Price | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $23/seat/mo | $29/seat/month if billed monthly · Up to 2,500 contacts · Pipelines, project management, contact enrichment |
| Professional | $59/seat/mo | $69/seat/month if billed monthly · Up to 15,000 contacts · Adds sales opportunities, workflow automation, bulk email, reporting, more integrations |
| Business | $99/seat/mo | $134/seat/month if billed monthly · Unlimited contacts · Adds email sequences, custom reports, multi-currency, premium support |
Prices shown are per seat per month. Annual billing rate: Basic $23, Professional $59, Business $99. Monthly billing rate: Basic $29, Professional $69, Business $134. Basic includes basic customizable pipelines, but not Sales Opportunities (deal records with a revenue rollup); you need Professional for that.
