Frontegg is a hosted identity platform that handles login, signup, and user management so you don't build those screens and the session logic behind them yourself. It covers standard consumer auth (email/password, social login, magic links, MFA, passkeys) and goes deep on B2B identity: organizations, roles, hierarchies, and SSO/SCIM for customers who need to connect their own identity provider.
It also ships fine-grained entitlements and authorization tooling, machine-to-machine auth for service accounts, and, more recently, identity and access tooling aimed at AI agents (AgentLink, FrontMCP) rather than only human users.

Who it's for
- ✓ B2B SaaS teams that need SSO, SCIM, and org hierarchies for enterprise customers without building that layer themselves
- ✓ Teams that want fine-grained entitlements and authorization baked in alongside login
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ Teams that want a fixed, published price they can budget against before talking to anyone
- ✗ Small consumer apps that only need basic login and don't need B2B org or SSO features
Pros
- + Free tier covers a real amount of usage: 7,500 monthly active users and 5 SSO/SCIM connections
- + B2B features like organizations, hierarchies, and entitlements are built in, not bolted-on add-ons
- + Covers machine-to-machine and AI agent identity use cases beyond plain end-user login
Cons
- – No published price past the free tier. Overage rates for extra MAUs and connections aren't on the pricing page, so you can't estimate cost at scale without a sales call
- – Only two named plans, so there's no visible middle tier between free and custom Enterprise pricing
- – Premium support and multi-environment setups are locked behind the quote-only Enterprise plan
Frontegg pricing
You pay for what you consume rather than a per-seat fee, so cost scales with usage.
| Plan | Price | Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Pay as you go | Free | Free up to 7,500 monthly active users · Fully customized hosted login · 5 enterprise connections (SSO/SCIM) · Unlimited organizations · Custom domain |
| Enterprise | Custom | Everything in Pay as you go, plus paid add-ons · Multiple environments · Advanced fraud protection · 99.99% uptime SLA · Premium support |
Frontegg's pricing page shows only two named plans. Pay as you go is free up to 7,500 monthly active users and 5 SSO/SCIM connections, then moves to usage-based billing beyond that, but the site does not publish the per-unit overage rate for extra MAUs or connections. Enterprise is quote-only. There's no listed monthly seat price to use as a starting price.
