Typeform is a form and survey builder known for showing one question at a time in a full-screen, conversational layout instead of a long scrolling list. It's used for lead capture forms, customer surveys, quizzes, and simple research studies.
Pricing is metered by monthly responses, not just seats. Every plan from Basic up includes a set number of responses per month, and once you cross it you either upgrade or pay for a response add-on. The free plan exists mainly as a trial, capped at 10 responses a month.
Typeform has also built out an HR-specific plan (Talent) and a sales-oriented Growth Flow plan with lead enrichment and CRM integrations, on top of the standard Basic/Plus/Business ladder.

Who it's for
- ✓ Teams that want a polished, on-brand, conversational form for lead gen or customer feedback
- ✓ HR teams running structured hiring flows with video questions, on the Talent plan
- ✓ Sales and marketing teams that want form data enriched and pushed into Salesforce automatically
Who should look elsewhere
- ✗ Anyone collecting more than a few hundred responses a month on a tight budget, since every plan meters responses and forces an upgrade once you hit the cap
- ✗ Teams that just need a free, no-cap form builder for internal or low-volume use
- ✗ Buyers who want branding removed or basic analytics without paying at least $79/mo (Plus)
Pros
- + Conversational one-question layout has a genuinely different feel than a typical form and tends to raise completion rates for opinion-based surveys
- + AI-assisted form creation and AI-generated clarification questions cut down build time
- + Talent and Growth Flow plans bundle features (video Q&A, lead enrichment, Salesforce sync) that most form tools don't offer at all
Cons
- – Every plan, including the free one, has a hard monthly response cap baked into the price, so a good marketing month can shut off new submissions
- – Free plan is capped at 10 responses/month, too low for real use and mostly there to get you to upgrade
- – Removing Typeform's own branding requires at least the Plus plan ($79/mo billed monthly)
- – Jumping from Business ($129/mo, 10,000 responses) to Enterprise for more volume means going through a sales call instead of a listed price

Typeform FAQ
Is Typeform free to use?+
There's a free plan, but it caps you at 10 responses a month and keeps Typeform's branding on your forms. Most real use requires at least the $39/mo Basic plan.
What happens if I go over my response limit?+
Each plan has a response cap included in the price and a separate, higher maximum you can reach by paying for a response add-on. Once you hit the plan's included cap, you need to upgrade or add on more responses to keep collecting.
Does Typeform charge per seat or per response?+
Both. Each paid plan includes a fixed number of seats and a fixed number of monthly responses. Going over either limit means upgrading to the next plan.
Is annual billing actually cheaper?+
Yes, by about 28% per month compared to monthly billing. Basic drops from $39/mo to $28/mo, for example, when billed annually.
